Batrisya’s First Birthday

10 Jun

Batrisya is one year old today. It was truly a happy moment for me & my lovely wife, Ulfa, to see her growing-up, healthy. Here, I would like you to share those wonderful moments, from the first second she was born…

Happy Birthday Batrisya! Always stay healthy and happy. Time flies. It’s been a year since our class monitor wrote ur daughter’s birth date on the board. Bring her to my shop to eat rojak lah… hehe

Thank you Jet. Dad & Mum love to eat your rojak alright, but Batrisya got to wait another two years to see her uncle Jet… Hehehe…

    Happy Birthday Batrisya!

I can only imagine her surprise when she’s old enough to surf the web (which by today’s standard isn’t far away). By the time she’s mature enough to truly appreciate what you’ve done for her ie documenting her precious early years, by then we will have (as fathers) considered our journey complete. My kids are 12 and 10 and while they are internet savvy, much of what I do as a photographer along with the things I blog about are of very little or no interest to them.

At least not until some day when they’re old enough and curious (if that day ever comes) they may come across my work by way of a Google search. That’s the motivation that keeps me going from post to post since Nov 2006 — building a legacy for the kids to discover in the future (as long WordPress remains in operation)🙂

On behalf of Batrisya, thank you uncle Jan…🙂

She had 3 presents from her Umi’s this afternoon: a CAM Bambini, a pust tram like pink bicycle and a computer, also pink in colour. She was already asleep when the Bambini & the bicycle were delivered at 8.45 pm today.

Somehow, I hope they will continue what I’m doing right now after I’m dead and gone…🙂
